Still trying to make sense of the proposed cleanup plan? Get help Tuesday!

The Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition sends a reminder that tomorrow night is a chance to get technical advice on making sense of, and commenting on, the EPA’s proposed cleanup plan. From the South Park Yahoo! list (among other places):

This is just a quick reminder that DRCC/TAG will be hosting a Technical Advice Workshop in South Park TOMORROW, Tuesday, April 9th, 5:30-7:00 p.m. (at the South Park Neighborhood Center – 8210 10th Ave. S; prior to the SPNA meeting). These workshops will give you direct access to DRCC/TAG’s technical advisers (one of which will be flying all the way from Virginia!). These workshops are exclusively for residents and community stakeholders (not agency or responsible party representatives). Our technical advisers will be going through the three documents that are currently out for public comment regarding the cleanup of our river: Proposed Cleanup Plan, Source Control Strategy and Environmental Justice Analysis. Your participation and input is much needed; we have only 66 days left to save our river!

RSVPs required; light dinner will be served.

If you are interested, call Alberto Rodriguez at DRCC, ASAP, to RSVP. Their contact info is at
