Candlelight vigil Friday night for homeowner in foreclosure fight
Just announced and happening tomorrow (Friday) night:
VIGIL TO PROTEST SOUTH PARK NEIGHBORHOOD EVICTION
What: Candlelight Vigil
When: 5:30 PM, Fri., Mar. 1, 2013
Where: 725 South Henderson Street, Seattle
Despite repeated attempts to negotiate with Wells Fargo to allow Jeremy Griffin to stay in his South Park home of eight years, the banks refuse to negotiate with him. We say “banks” (plural) because his home was sold at auction presumably to Wells Fargo, but now Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank are threatening to sue him for continuing to stay in his home. Jeremy has tried to pay rent to Wells Fargo, but they refused to accept his money. Now Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank are threatening to sue him with the additional demand that he must pay them rent! SAFE (Standing Against Foreclosure & Eviction), for which Jeremy is a volunteer, will hold a candlelight vigil in front of his home to protest his treatment by the banks. This action is part of a buildup to confront his impending eviction. SAFE will resist any attempt to evict Jeremy from his home.

County records say Deutsche Bank holds the deed as of late November.
